i know in older cars they turned the lenses yellow. if you want brighter lights get something like Narva plus50's. still 50w but 50% brighter

Install hids.
I just paid $12 for h4 hids from hong kong and they are exactly the same as the $250 one u get in shops here, and cheaper than replacing globes flat-out

Installing higher wattage globes is the old school way doing it. With higher wattage globes you run the risk of melting the headlight plugs and wiring. Different colour temperature globes or HID's are the best way to go.

My mate put 100/130s in his vs. I'm pretty sure he didn't rewire a thing or upgrade the fuses and they seem to work fine. I don't think they're much brighter if at all though. I put 55/100s in my vp and 100w h3s in the high beam bit and it seems a shit ton brighter.

Exactly, so why would you jump on the bandwagon and stick them in? I personally think they're dangerous, and probability says the more cars with them installed = higher the chance of a crash.......
Just my 2c, but totally up to you......

It's not the globes, there must be another issue. You know not to touch the glass part of the bulbs when putting them in?

the higher wattage globes will draw more power... thus heating up the wire, thus melting it, thus starting a fire....
I had it nearly done to mine... but all it did was melt the headlight plastics a bit... was my old car. not the clubby... fu ck doing that lol
