Club Listings - The Rules (read before posting)

OK, so I've had a moment of weakness and decided to allow clubs to list their information on our forum. This is ON A TRIAL BASIS and is subject to review should any trouble arise from people being troublesome.

The rules are simple:
*This is a place to simply advertise your club
*You may not promote any club sponsors
*You may not advertise any cruises (that should still be done in the cruises section)
*You may not make derogatory comments about any other clubs or defame any person/s
*You can link to your club's website in this section only
*You must provide specific information on your club, including:
-Founding date
-Number of members
-State and location
-Specific models (if applicable)
-Meeting night
-ABN AND club incorporation number
-Mission Statement
-Other pertinent information
*Thread titles MUST be written in the following format: STATE - NAME - AREA

At this stage, we'll leave the rest up to you. However at the first sigh of trouble, bitching, backbiting or arguments; we'll tear it down and go back to the way it was.

This does not alter the rules for the cruise section, which will remain as strict as it always has been.

Does this even apply anymore?

It seems this section has simply turned into an 'advertise my forum' area.

Nobody seems to be able to understand the definition of club.... nor what it takes to have a proper, legally recognised club, which is very, very different to simply having a forum with organised get togethers.

Mick, you're right and I've been guilty of under-moderation of this section.

Does this include clubs in the cruises section??

Not really. We'll usually only pick on that if the club is going overboard with self-promotion with graphics and links etc.
