Yes, yes...that's the name my mother gave me...
At this point no, nothing has been modified to fit the wheels but I'm thinking more and more of getting coil-over suspension and maybe even the guards rolled just to be on the safe side, plus it would allow decent width on the tyres (225's at the moment which is leaving a substantial portion of the rim out in the cold waiting to be scraped on something).
It has been lowered quite a bit from standard and now with the wheels I have a feeling if I have someone sitting in the back the tyres will definitely start rubbing somewhere.
I'll keep you guys posted...

Satan: I saw the 408cu today, DAMN it looks nice. Just waiting for the new race heads and some fuel system parts. A N/A 383 stroker in a caprice did a 11.8 at willowbank last night so it looks like this is going to be a monster

I can see you'll be paying close attention every step of the way! You'll have a meaningful relationship with every piece of metal going into this thing by the looks of it.
What sort of timeframe until start-up?

Thanks dude, when I first saw them I thought, yeah, they'll match the car perfectly, great style-wise for a Stato. Seems to be a popular choice so far...(braces for massive flame session...)

Stato's have always been sleepers. Subtle and style at idle and cruising but ANIMALS at WOT. Thats always been the plan.

Niiiiice...I guess I don't have to say let us know when she's running? You know what would be a nice post? A little video of the new engine's first start-up and rev...kinda like a childbirth video...
Or is that wierd?

It was done by a friend of mine, he does performance work as a private business when he isn't working for his boss (well known national car mechanic franchise). He did all the mechanical work as well as the tune, very meticulous and professional but a genuinely nice bloke. He'll go balls to the wall with your tune if you really, really want but I think by nature he likes to play it fairly safe and err on the side of caution making the tune safe.
I'll talk to him and ask if he wants me to give his details, keep an eye on your Private Messages Inbox.

If you can find the King Pro coilovers they will allow a 245/35/19 rim or 235/35/20 without a problem. Last i looked they were around $1300

Needed the new rims. Did the WK come out with autoleveling rear suspension? Dads WH did, thatd sort out any rubbing probs with passengers in the backseat. Good to see ppl venturing from the mighty commodore and monaro for their kicks. Good work mate.

That's what I'm considering, do you think it'd need coil overs all round Stu? Either that or I'm afraid I'll have to raise it a little.

I think the Caprice may have but my Stato doesn't, I was apprehensive when I went to get it lowered as the self-levelling system makes lowering a little more complex but turns out didn't have it anyway.
