I have a VH SLX mine is rhone green it was originally a 202 with a trimatic drum brake rearend, now with a blue 253 v8 5-speed with a disc brake rearend.

I brought my car for $2900, next to now rust, straight interior.

Cheap mods for the 202 are a tuned up first, oil change, k&n filter, new spark plugs and leads, maybe even get the varajet carby moded and also the inlet manifold ported and smoothened out.

Next you might want to get a decent exhaust system with pacemaker or genie extractors, then get it tuned again, see how that goes.

130kw @ wheels...

Mine only cost $100 plus on road costs (still to be calculated) so I did well, I would love to change it over to a manual, by my dad (automotive engeneer) says 'a hell of a lot of work and probibly about $800 even if we did it our selves'. How do you mod a varajet? I know I've got one, dad pointed it out. This is my first car and untill about a week ago all i cared about were the stats, not how I changed the stats. I'm telling you climbing out of a Grange (which I've been driving on my L's) and then climbing into my car, huge power differnce

Looks neat and tidy mate. Are you going to keep the old and gutless buy you 202?
Plus i say you want a VK SS Group A "letter box" grille? go to rare spares or even your local HDT stockist which is Autotechnique PH (03) 9763 1195.
Owner of 2 SL/E's, looking for a third!
