The main road was full by 2.30 last time

I wonder how long it will be before it implodes on itself. I really hope it doesn't! It has a great atmosphere and 99% of people pick up on the behave yourself vibe it has.

I park up the top rather than main road and also last weekend you cant really count as the markets were opened and half the cars that were there were for the markets at the start....
Its dark by 530 now but it doesnt start till 6pm.... Say we pre meet somewhere up the road and roll in around 4ish have a chance to quick detail the cars and then relax for the night ahead...

Last week got pretty outta control. My bet would be big police operation soon to make people say away.

Last week was a bit out of the odinary with the night markets opened which is a very rare occassion....
First time Ive ever known police to shut the entrance down too....

When daylight saving ends, the numbers drop, and when winter rolls in, they drop even further.

It's a shame it's getting too big now - it's dragging in quite a few too many wannabes with shitty 6 cylinders driving in & out with stockers on the back. Nothing screams out "defect station required here" louder than that look.


The best night I remember there was the last saturday in December 2006. Back when the guys from the (defunct & reborn) AMCC and Rob M from the GT club were the ones gee'ing everyone up in the main Hot Rod & muscle car clubs to come along, and it was all muscle cars, hot rods & Harleys. Chester even had his Moffat hardtop replica there. People PARKED and walked around checking out all the cars. None of this driving up & down doing poser laps bullshit.

We go every month as a group outing , last month was awesome had the BBQ fired up and just sat back and took it all in

Your right about the numbers dropping off I think the next one wont be as big but will be the bigger out of the next few months prob till sept/oct when it starts getting warm again...

went there last night and there was a rock n roll night, there was about 100 cars there was a good night..
they had ppl singing and entertaining and had a area blocked off so ppl could dance..

Last month was insane. Huge turnout with the fireworks. I'll be there again ... If the cops start shutting this down it won't be a good look based on there being no real problems there. Its only a matter of time before someone gets hit there - THEN they will have merit to give the night the can.

Commonut - I don't see that many people doing laps really. Its just more in and out stuff I think..

From where I was sitting for a good 3 hours (up near the food vans) I saw quite a lot of the same cars going up & down multiple times - usually noticeable because of some stupid lightshow, out of adjustment foglights/headlights/HIDs blinding people, or because of their driving style - that twitch in the right foot that seems to affect them.

I think if you hang around further down past the crossing, or in the rear carparks, you wouldn't see it much, as they turn around & loop back without going into the back areas.
