Well small update all the new audio gear is wired up and I'm super happy with the result, nice clean punchy bass just the way I like it but the thing I was most blown away by was the change in sound quality i got from my type R splits by changing the amp to the PDX-F6, it's like I've changed the speakers it's that big a change. Lights and some more dynamat and I'm done.

Put a 22/9" g8 on today to see if I can get them on without rolling or cutting the car, last set I tried were 9.5" wide rears and rubbed like crazy.
This time round I'm thinking I mite get away with it, big thanks to Carlo (ch45nu) for the wheel.
I'm still not 100% on if I should do it or not, I'd do them black with the red hsv badges.

A unique car needs a unique wheel, everyone has those wheels and IMO they have lost their 'wow' factor.

I think in black they will look killer.
Everyone has their own personal taste, and based off how you got the car to look i would listen to your gut on this one.
Either way, one thing is for sure... those 22's make the old wheels look small

Not really a fan of most 22' on VE's, i love yours on 20's mate, 22's look kinda wankerish to me. Just an opinion non the less, you'll probably still make 22's look fantastic

Big dish don't work with big brakes, only dish style rims I like are FR22 but I would only be able to get a small dish on the rears with my brakes anyway. As much as I like FRs the price and the fact that everyone has em stops me getting a set.

It's easy to say but have got any ideas? I need somthing that will fit with the brakes and that I won't have to roll or cut the car. It don't leave a lot to chose from.

its all personal mate, but i prefer to pentagons hands down.. 20's make the car look so much more balanced and doesnt detract the good looks of the car, plus they handle way better.. just my .02c mate, either way this car is amazing and you have done a awesome job

I'm just a bit over em is all, I know they look good but I've had them on the car from the day I got it. I was going to go 22" pentagons but im not sure if just a change in size would keep me happy.

I'm still rocking my 19" SSVs so not one to talk about 'common' but...
Those G8s, far to common and i personally think cheapen the car slightly (no offense to anyone who has them).
So here's my thought...
1. Scroll down through Rennens - they have some great concave wheels and also some good others :- http://wheelworx.com.au/rennen_wheels.html
2. If you want G8.. try the Hyper Black as opposed to the FP style.. slightly less chunky.
Car is looking great by the way!

Thanks for that luke v8
Some good looking wheels on that site, I'll have a good look when I get home.
The g8s was more just a easy way out, as is 22" pentagons really. What ever I end up with they will be all black

The black editions are sold out. They were approx a $8k premium over a standard clubby. The stuff on them could be done less than $8k IMO.
Jaba, you can only option them on a MY12 Clubby. I'm looking at MY11 to save money. The difference between the build plate saying 2011 and 2012 is actually quite a lot
