Brisbane Cruise Anyone?

I am keen to organise some type of a cruise in Late Aug Early September around the Brisbane Area, These are a few options i am looking at, if you are interested let me know.

A few more details & I'd be keen.
I'll have my Clubby sorted in a week or so & my mate will have his VP SS back on the road after a 3 year stint in his garage.
Hillclimb sounds the goods for me.
Pardon my ignorance, what exactly is a poker run & a riddle run?

poker run = every one chucks in $5 or something at the start of the cruise, there are 5 stops along the way where the players each get a card, at the last stop whoever has the best hand wins the kitty

give you clues and you find the spot, when at the spot you write down the answer to a question. ang then move to the next clue. most correct answers at the end wins sort of like the amazing race with out the racing. you may all start in the same location and end in the same location for a BBQ but the driving part really isn't a cruise.

id be more incline to have a cruisy cruise all that figuring sht out sound difficult hillclimb or coast run sounds like fun

I have been on the variety cruise which is the same thing. I took about 5 hours to register, complete and meet at the other end which was a car show and sausage sizzle. Great day as long as you have a passenger, otherwise you are looking for clues etc which some people complained about.

Yeah, the idea of driving & stopping & then driving again doesn't grab me in any sense of the word.
I think a hillclimb cruise with a photo shoot or something along those lines followed up with some war stories (trust me, I've got a few. Like the time I was pulling my...).

Bugger the games, there'll be plenty of shenanigans had by all. In a legal sense.

Ok., Im back from playing in the bush for a while now.. Good to see some interest... I will develop this plan further in detail over the coming days (weekend) will have a better idea and maybe a date..

Option One
Mt Nebo Rd Via Mt Glorious to Redcliffe, bit of a meet and greet prior to departure, then a mini show and shine In vicinty of Recliffe. That will see some Mountainous driving to give it a poke and nice view.. Highway for the Cruising and Redcliffe Boat Ramp for the Photo's.

When exactly will this cruise be going ahead?
My mate gets his VP SS back on the road this Thursday, so he'll be keen for this cruise.

expect for the cruise to be some stage in early to mid September or same time in November.

I will need to confirm the Final part of the cruise at redcliffe. I have a sneaking suspicision that Pelican Park is Good to go, which is just past the northern edge of the really long Bridge..

Guys and Gals of Brisbane..

As i have had a more then great response to the Cruise in October i have decided i will be organising further events & meets. They will consist of a variety of places, local and distant. There will be no discrimination and your input is more then welcome. If you have suggestions, ideas or if you are interested in organising an event yourself and havent got any idea where to start hit me up, i am more then welcome to help.

The cruises will not host any fees and are not official street commodores cruises by any means. This is just a good site to Engage in conversation, seek help and to host such events on.

As i said, i am open to suggestion and i look forward to meeting some of you at the very first meet in October.. Be there or be Sqaure!
