A huge thanks to our resident sharp shooter C Sorgs for documenting the fabrication and installation of our new tailshaft yesterday at Sydney Driveline Services. What I dismissed as a pretty medial part of the driveline is actually incredibly technical and is an area I urge people to focus on as they push their power figures.

We lunched everything - unis, centre bearing... the lot. Sydney Driveline fabbed us up a new 2.5in tailshaft with new, beefier unis and yokes at either end - all the good gear! The difference it made was unreal: no more funky noises, and more importantly the car is so much smoother on the road. We'll be tracking the whole build in an upcoming issue...

Finally got around to racing again!

Bettered the dismal 14.4 we clocked at Heathcote last year and first run at WSID last night ran a 13.8, which we bettered the next run with a 13.7 , and cracked 100mph. I know, go me! Also clocked a 1.9 60ft which I was pretty happy with.

The night ended too early though as we blew a little oil into the top end which wept down onto the coilpacks resulting in a misfire that we just couldn't shake.

I told Jess the same thing with the same camera but the pics she took of me and Craig Lowndes still turned out blurry

But seriously i took 270 photos on Monday when we went for a drive with some really nice cars and about 15 of them turned out ok...

Not exactly a high rate of win...
